Anthony Hewitt is the owner of Race Shock Specialists and an expert suspension technician himself. He has over 27 years building and turning shock absorbers. After 12 years of working for one of New Zealands’ largest suspension importers and Bilstein NZ agencies, Anthony Hewitt established his own specialist suspension shop in 2005. Alignment Specialists, Penrose began as part of the The Shop Shock group - New Zealand’s auto safety experts.

Anthony trained in Germany in the Bilstein factory, USA. In Australia, he trained at Murray Coote Automotive and learnt to service and revalve MCA Shocks.

With a background in motor sport, Race Shock Specialists was created to fulfill a need in the market to service and build race suspensions. Race Shock Specialists also service and repair imported coil-over kits form Japan and Asia.

Today the workshop has two fully trained Suspension and wheel alignment technicians. We also carry the latest wheel alignment machines. For those who require a full shock service we have a SPA dyno. Bilstein Regas machine.
