MCA Suspension

HOW IT ALL BEGUN

MCA Suspension was founded in 1991 by former Australian Rally Champion Murray Coote. having worked on suspension for his own rally car, Murray saw a lack of expertise in the suspension industry and sought to improve the current situation. Murray's drive to improve was noticed by rally teams across the world.who began sending their shocks for revalving and repairs and so MCA SUSPENSION was born.

The goal was simple, go back to the basics and do it properly. This ideology applied to all MCA products and something that many brands seem to lose sight of. Advanced suspension features are useless unless the basics are executed effectively.

Shortly after, Murray created his own line of customs made suspension now known as the Gold Series which can cater to nearly every motorsport application and remains the most successful suspension product in Australian Time Attack.

After years of working with MCA SUSPENSION they approached RSS to become the New Zealand agent for the Brand.

We handle all Sales, Upgrades and Repairs from our workshop in Penrose and Warranty Claims if they should occur will also be handled here in NZ - with no need to send back to Australia.

CATERING TO THE ENTHUSIAST

With huge success surrounding the Gold Series, demand was high for a new range of suspension that adopted the philosophy and pedigree of the Gold Series at a more affordable price to the average competitor or enthusiast.Murray’s protégé and son Josh answered the call creating the made to order range of MCA suspension available today.

MCA Suspension now caters for a wide range of enthusiasts and budgets with Red Series acting as the control shock for a variety of competiton series including the 86 Race series through to the new addition of Street Essentials providing exceptional comfort and value for money in street vechicle applications.

So what makes MCA Suspension so special? It all comes down to customer service,research and development.Running vehicles in Time attack Pro and Open class as well as a Pro class drift car allows us to continually explore new ideas and tesr new concepts at the track. It is this constant development that flows through to our products and offers customers superior knowledge and performance. Suspension is our life.

SHOCK REBUILDING

Good brands of shocks absorbers can in most cases can be rebuilt and repaired.

It all comes dowm too if the shock can be taken apart.as some are welded closed and are not designed to be repaired.

With years of servicing shock absorbers, Race Shock specialists has made.. and has previously had hard to get parts made they have soured a number of different shaft sizes to repair those shocks with damaged or broken shafts.

This all makes RSS a one stop Shop for Shock Absorbers.

SHOCK REVALVING

Most race Shocks absorbers can be revalved to change the way they control a vehicles movement.

The big trick is knowing what to change and how much to change it, and then being able to test the changes made before putting the Shock back in the vehicle.

Some call this a “Black Art” it is something you can only learn over time.

Anthony Hewitt from race Shock specialists has had 27 years experience Revalving shocks for all types of motorsport, road and custom vehicles. With the use of his SPA Shock dyno he can test the performance of a shock absorber and check the changes are correct.

CUSTOM SHOCKS

Sometimes off the shelf shocks just don't work for all applications or shock absorbers are no longer available for a vehicle or it could be that shocks are available but are just too expensive. Anthony at Race Shock Specialists may be able to come up with some options or solutions for you.
